Salem, Va. –
The Roanoke College Women's Basketball team is set to tip-off its 25 game slate on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The Maroons, who will open at Ferrum on Wednesday have a 2017-18 slate which features a pair of home tournaments and eight home Old Dominion Athletic Conference tilts.

Roanoke will host the Jean Beamer Tip-Off Class on Nov. 18-19. RC will play Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th and Birmingham-Southern the following day at 3:00 p.m.After a non-conference road game at Salem on Nov. 21, Roanoke will open its ODAC schedule with a game against Bridgewater at home on Nov. 28. 

The Maroons will open December by taking on Washington and Lee on the fifth before hosting Southern Virginia on the eighth. 

Roanoke will head north for a trip to Massachusetts prior to the Christmas Holiday. RC will face Babson in  Wellesley, Mass. on Dec. 18 before squaring off with Bates at Babson the following evening. 

Following its trip, RC will return to the Cregger Center on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 when it hosts the Susan Dunagan Holiday Tournament. The Maroons will face Franklin & Marshall on the 30th and will ring in the New Year on the 31st with a game against Meredith. 

Nine ODAC games are on the docket for January, with three of them being played in Salem. Roanoke closes out the season with a February slate with five league games.

Roanoke was picked to finish 8th in the ODAC Preseason Poll. Eastern Mennonite University received seven first-place votes on the way to 112 total points to sit clear of second place Lynchburg College by just two points. The Hornets' 110-point outlay features the remaining five top nods. Emory & Henry College and Randolph-Macon College are also separated by just two markers for third place with the Wasps taking up third position with 91 tallies.
