The Lead: Emory & Henry took a 67-51 ODAC Women's Basketball decision over Roanoke on Wednesday night.

How it Happened

• Emory & Henry, who received votes in the latest national ranking poll, held Roanoke scoreless over the first nine minutes of the first quarter as the Wasps were able to take a 17-3 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
• E&H then opened up the second quarter with a 10-2 run, with the Wasps moving ahead 27-5 following a pair of free-throws from Laken Blackburn with 7:17 to play in the half.
• A Chole Harris three-pointer in the final seconds of the first-half sent E&H to the locker room with a 40-16 lead at the intermission.
• Ayanna Scarborough led Roanoke with 12 points, including 10 points in the third quarter which saw RC outscore E&H 17-15. Whitney Hopson had eight points as well for the Maroons that shot 34.7% for the game, making 17-of-49 points.
• Taylor Blevins led Emory & Henry with 19 points, while Meyesha Logan chipped in with eight points off the bench.
