THE GAME FACTS
- Score: Roanoke 75, Shenandoah 65
- Records: Maroons 12-5, 6-4 ODAC; Hornets 11-6, 7-4 ODAC

- The Short Story: A double-double by Sayre Brandstatter and a second-half push by the Roanoke women's basketball team saw the Maroons earn a 75-65 ODAC win on the road at Shenandoah.
HOW IT HAPPEND
- The first quarter went back and forth in the first five minutes with the score tied up at 10-10. A 13-2 run by the Hornets put the home team ahead by 11 with 45 seconds left in the half. A layup by Nora Schroeder with three ticks on the clock pull the Maroons within nine after the first 10 minutes.
- It was much more of a defensive battle in the second quarter with the Maroons holding SU to just 13 points; however the Hornets held Roanoke to eight, leading 36-22 at the half.
- The third quarter was much like the first, but for the opposite teams. This time is was Roanoke who outscored the Hornets 22-15 in the period led by six points from both Brandstatter and Lauren Keel. Brandstatter also grabbed four rebounds in the period.
- Trailing by seven going into the fourth quarter, the Maroons continued a 14-0 run that started in the third with 55 seconds left and ended with 7:41 left in the game with Roanoke leading 55-51. The Hornets were able to keep the lead within five or six points for most of the time remaining, but were able to pull within four with 2:36 on the clock. The Maroons then pushed their lead back to 11 before settling in for a 75-65 win.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Roanoke hit 10 three-pointers in the game on 45.5% shooting from beyond the arc.
- The Maroons led Shenandoah in rebounds (43-41), second-chance points (11-4), and fast-break points (5-4).
- In addition to Brandstatter's team-high 17 points, Peyton Kirchner (14) and Keel (13) also reach double figures. Brandstatter's 15 rebounds was a game and career-high.

- The Maroons continue their road trip on Wednesday, January 25 when they travel to Harrisonburg to take on Eastern Mennonite. The ODAC contest with the Royals is scheduled for 7 p.m.
