The Lead: Bridgewater scored a 15-11 ODAC home win over Roanoke on Friday evening.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke was led by Ellie Armstrong who had four goals, while Maggie Lewis and Jenn Schwechheimer each had three. Lainey Decker dished out two assists and Lewis snared a team-high six draw controls.
- Bridgewater got four goals from both Kristen Sark and Dwyer Neal, while Anna O'Hara had three scores for BC. Kayla O'Sullivan grabbed a game-high seven draw controls in the win.
- After Armstrong scored to tie the game 1-1 just under four minutes in, BC used a 3-1 run to take a 4-2 lead with 10 minutes to go in the half.
- Back-to-back goals from Armstrong and Schwechheimer helped RC tie the game 4-4 before BC responded with two goals to take a 6-4 lead.
- Schwechheimer scored with just over a minute to go in the half to send the teams to the intermission with BC up 6-5.
- The Eagles came out of the break and scored the first four goals of the second-half to go up 10-5.
- Armstrong and Lewis scored for Roanoke to cut it to 10-7, but BC scored three unanswered goals to put the game away.
- Carly Schoudel made eight saves for Roanoke, while Mikaela Brooks made six stops for BC.
