The Lead: No. 10 Washington and Lee ran its winning streak to 11 games with a 19-8 win over Roanoke on Saturday.

How it Happened

• Ellie Armstrong led the Maroons with two goals and two assists, while Mckenna Polak and Jenn Schwechheimer each tallied two goals. Carly Schoudel played the full 60 minutes in net for the Maroons and recorded seven saves.
• Collette Murray tallied one assist to go along with her five goals for W&L, while Cordelia Peters finished with four goals and two assists.
• Roanoke took a 2-1 lead on a Schwechheimer goal with 25:54 to go in the first-half.
• Armstrong would then give RC a 3-2 edge with 23:00 minutes left.
• W&L then used a 6-0 run to take a 9-3 lead with just over 13 minutes to go.
• After a Polak goal closed the gap to 9-4, the Generals put the game away with a 5-1 run to take a 14-5 lead at the half.
