The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced their Academic All District team for the at-large sports on Thursday afternoon. Roanoke College women's lacrosse student-athlete Lilly Blair was named Academic All District by the organization. The senior will now move to the nationwide voting for the CoSIDA Academic All American team.
The 2021-22 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, that include the sports of Beach Volleyball, Bowling, Fencing, Field Hockey, Golf Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Rifle, Rowing, Skiing, Swimming, Tennis, and Water Polo, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in June.
This season, Blair led the Old Dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) with 71 goals scored and won numerous athletic and academic accolades. In addition to 71 goals scored, Blair handed out 19 assists for 90 total points, picking up 31 ground balls, causing 21 turnovers, and accounted for 47 draw controls. She was named All ODAC 1st team as well as being named the ODAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year and the ODAC Scholar Athlete of the Year. The IWLCA announced their All Region teams and Blair was a repeat member of the All Region 1st team. In the classroom, Blair is a triple major in Mathematics, Economics, and Actuarial Science and graduated in early May with a 4.00 grade point average. At the Roanoke College 2022 Senior Brunch, Blair was announced as the 2022 Co-Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year.
Some of her academic awards include: Senior Scholar in Mathematics, Senior Scholar in Economics, Omicron Delta Epsilon Award. Blair is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Mu Epsilon (math society), Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics society), National Society of Leadership and Success, Member of EconLab.
