Lilly Blair - 2nd team All American

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced their NCAA DIII All-American teams on Thursday afternoon. Roanoke College senior Lilly Blair was named 2nd team All-American on attack.

The awards for the senior kept coming on Thursday, after being named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All District and an IWLCA All Region 1st team selection last Thursday. The All-American selection was the first for the Roanoke women's lacrosse program since Claire Feeney was named to the 3rd team in 2016.

This season, the Salem native finished first in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) with 71 goals and 90 total points. For her efforts this season, Blair was named All ODAC 1st team, ODAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year as well as being named the 2022 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year. It marked the 13th time in the history of the conference that Roanoke would claim Player of the Year honors.

For her career, Blair scored 195 goals with 40 assists for 235 total points in just 57 games played. She picked up 82 ground ball, secured 101 draw controls, and caused 45 turnovers. The two-time IWLCA 1st team All Region selection was named All-American for the first time. Academically, Blair graduated with a 4.00 GPA as a triple major. The IWLCA also named Blair to the Academic Honor Roll in both of the seasons in which she was eligible and is currently in the voting to be named a CoSIDA Academic All American.
