SALEM, Va. -- In the last week of her final regular season, Roanoke women's lacrosse senior Addison Schmidt has been named the ODAC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Schmidt had an overall controlling defensive week. She opened up with two ground balls and three caused turnovers against Averett while also scoring on her only shot, a free-position attempt. She then closed the weekend with a five ground balls and five caused turnovers against Bridgewater while also scoring a second goal of the week.

The Maroons have secured at least the No. 2 seed in the upcoming 2023 ODAC Tournament and will host a semifinal contest on Friday, May 5.
