Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Match to Rowan, 1-0
GLASSBORO, NJ - The Roanoke College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference matchup against Rowan University on Monday. The Maroons now have a record of 8-5-2 while Rowan currently holds a record of 11-2.

Roanoke is now 0-2 all time against Rowan, losing the only other meeting between the two teams in 1996, also by the score of 1-0.

Both teams played a very defensive contest through regulation, completing the first 90 minutes of play tied 0-0. But just one minute into extra time, Rowan's Dayna Sakalsky rebounded a shot by Erika Suhl into the back of the net for the game winner.

Rowan outshot Roanoke 18-6, but tied the Maroons in corner kicks 3-3. Carolyn Sarbacher played all 91:39 in goal and tallied seven saves. Rebekah Adams and Stephanie Parenteau led the Maroons in shots with two each.

Roanoke returns to action on Thursday, October 18th as they travel to Sweet Briar for ODAC action. That contest is scheduled for a 4:30 start.
