2012 Women's Soccer Team Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award
KANSAS CITY, KS – The 2012 Roanoke College women's soccer team was named a NSCAA College Team Academic Award Winner.

A total of 875 soccer teams (274 men, 601 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 Academic year.  The Roanoke College women's soccer team posted a GPA of 3.16, earning the Team Academic Award.

The 2012 Maroons finished their season with a record of 10-6-3, 8-3-1 in ODAC play.  Roanoke had a tough road to the tournament, going 0-1-2 against teams ranked in the NSCAA Division III national poll (#1 Emory, #5 Virginia Wesleyan, #10 Lynchburg). Five Maroons were named to All-ODAC teams at the end of the 2012 season. Stephanie Parenteau was named first team All-ODAC as well as earning VaSID All-State Team honors.  Carmen Graves and Maya Kantor were named second team All-ODAC and Rebekah Adams and Carolyn Sarbachergarnered third team All-ODAC honors.
