Women's soccer falls to #1 Lynchburg in double overtime

The Lead: No. 1 Lynchburg got a goal with just over three minutes remaining in the second overtime from Frances Foster to give LC a 1-0 victory over visiting Roanoke Friday night.

How it Happened:
 
- In the 107th minute, LC's Frances Foster took a pass from Camille Bartley and scored from 25 yards out.
- RC's Sarah Dvorak was outstanding in the net while recording seven saves for the Maroons while holding the defending national champions scoreless up until the second overtime.
- Dvorak had a stop on LC's Kelly Smith in front of the goal with five minutes to play to help send the match to overtime.
- Lynchburg outshot Roanoke 28-4 and held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks as well.
