The Lead: SierraLynn Johnson scored the first three goals of the game leading Roanoke to a 9-0 win at Hollins Wednesday afternoon
How it Happened:
- SierraLynn Johnson gave Roanoke a 3-0 lead with hat trick in the first 23 minutes of play with goals at the 11, 20 and 22 minute marks.
- Abbe Guarino kept the momentum going with a goal less than a minute later.
- Addy Fitzgerald tacked on a goal at the 27:29 mark for a 5-0 lead.
- The Maroons tacked on the final two goals of the first half with strikes from Ashley Scoyni and Rachel Harmon, to send RC to the half with a 7-0 lead.
- Abigail Frazier had a hand in the two goals in the second half as she assisted Fitzgerald at 62:28 before scoring 12 minutes later.
- Roanoke held a 47-1 advantage in shots and a 7-0 edge in corner kicks while Hollins' goalkeeper Hannah Armstrong made 18 saves on the day
