Roanoke Places Five on Women's Soccer All-ODAC Squad

FOREST, Va. – Five Roanoke College student-athletes have been named to the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Soccer All-Conference team announced on Tuesday.

Emily Whitaker was named First-Team All-ODAC, Linnea Kremer, Sierra Lynn-Johnson and Laura Sullivan earned second-team honors, while Brianna McAuliffe was a third-team choice.

Whitaker's first-team selection is the first all-conference honor of her career and comes following a season that saw her score five goals and dish out five assists for 15 total points from her midfield position. Her five assists was seventh most in the league, while her 15 points was good for 14th.

Kremer earns her second consecutive all-conference honor after making the third-team last year. This season Kremer had five goals to go along with one assist for 11 points.

Johnson scored 11 goals and added one assist. Her 11 goals was second most in the ODAC, while her 23 points ranked fourth. She had a pair of hat tricks and had three game-winning goals on the season.

Sullivan earns second-team honors for the second straight year and along with McAuliffe anchored a Maroon defense that allowed just 0.65 goals per game that ranked second in the ODAC. The Maroons allowed just 13 goals all season and had 10 shutouts.
