Salem, Va. – Roanoke junior midfielder Emily Whitaker has been named to the 2016 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Women's Soccer Second-Team.

Whitaker's First-Team All-ODAC selection in November was the first all-conference honor of her career and comes following a season that saw her score five goals and dish out five assists for 15 total points from her midfield position. Her five assists was seventh most in the league, while her 15 points was good for 14^th.

Roanoke finished the season 9-6-4 overall.
