Four Maroons Named All-ODAC in Women's Soccer

Salem, Va. – Four Roanoke College Women's Soccer standouts have been named to the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Conference team as the league announced its yearly awards on Wednesday. 

RC's Chris Martin was a first-team choice, while Lucy Perry earned second-team accolades and Erin Flamm and Jillian Barnard were both named to the third-team.

A junior goalkeeper, Martin earns her second straight first-team honor. Martin started 17 games for the Maroons and posted a 0.88 goals against average which is fourth best in the ODAC. Her 75 saves were fifth-most in the league, while her .843 save percentage was third amongst league keepers.

Perry earns her first all-conference honor after playing in 15 matches in the midfield for RC this season. Perry had five goals to go along with two assists on the season, with four of her five goals coming against ODAC opponents.

Barnard is a senior midfielder and had 16 points on the year which was the 16th highest total in the league rankings. Barnard scored five goals and dished out six assists. Her six assists ranks sixth-most in the league as well. All five of her goals came in ODAC matches with a pair of them proving to be game-winners.

Flamm spent her first season in Salem anchoring the backline for the Maroons. Flamm and the other Maroon defenders allowed just 0.86 goals per game this season which was fourth lowest in the ODAC. Roanoke had eight shutouts as a team as well.

Roanoke finished the season 7-6-4 overall and 6-2-2 in the ODAC.
