The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team dropped their regular-season finale on the road to the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan. Despite the setback, the Maroons earned the number seven seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Marlins scored a pair of goals in the first half with the game-winner coming at 15:33 and the second goal at 26:34.
• VWU added two more early in the second half and held on for the 4-0 win.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Carrington Lippi played the first 60:31 for the Maroons, making three saves.
• Taylor Gallik played the final 29:29 for Roanoke making two saves of her own.

UP NEXT

• The Maroons will travel in the quarterfinal round of the 2022 ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament to No. 2 seed and nationally ranked No. 24 Washington and Lee on Tuesday, November 1. Game time is still to be determined.
