Ryan Named First Team, Leads Four Maroons on All-ODAC Teams

SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College women's soccer team was honored by the ODAC this afternoon with the selection of four players to the post-season All-ODAC teams.

Eliza Ryan was named First Team All-ODAC with both Morgan O'Neill and MC Petrucelli being named to the Second Team All-ODAC. Cameron Shackford earned Third Team All-ODAC honors.

After earning Third Team honors last season, Ryan, as a defender, found a way to be an offensive player as well. Starting every game for the Maroons, Ryan finished the season with one goal and seven assists, including the game-winner in the shutout over Hollins on October 26. She finished her career with five goals and 12 assists for 22 points. Two of her goals proved to be game-winners.

O'Neill led the Maroons this season on offense, tying the team-lead in scoring with 12 goals and finished with 27 total points. She finished the season second in the ODAC in both goals and points. She scored two-goals three times this season while netting the game-winner over Eastern Mennonite on Sept. 24. She currently has 25 goals, four game-winners, and three assists in her career. She also earned Second Team honors in 2021.

Petrucelli was just one assist behind O'Neill for point total, finishing the season with 12 goals and two assists. She also finished tied for second in the ODAC in goals. After scoring three goals in the win over the Royals, she was named the ODAC women's soccer Player of the Week on Sept. 26. She also scored a four-goal haul in the 11-0 win over Hollins. She currently has 23 career goals and four assists for 50 career points. She also has scored five career game-winners.

Despite playing more of midfield position than a true forward, Shackford still became the second Maroon this season to score a hattrick, including the game-winner, in the win over Randolph on Oct. 5. She finished the season with five goals, three assists, and two game-winners. In just her two seasons with the Maroons she has seven goals and seven assists.
