SALEM, Va. -- Last weekend, the Roanoke women's soccer team wrapped up some spring practices with a scrimmage on the road at VMI on Sunday, April 16th. 

The Maroons took on the Keydets in three 30 minute periods with MC Petrucelli and Brooke Nicholson each scoring goals.

"After a spring season of playing mostly small sided games it was great to get back on a full size field playing 11vv11," said head coach Phil Benne. "VMI put pressure on us and we responded in the physical match up. It was opportunity to see where we are as a team going into the summer and looking towards the fall season."

The Maroons will open the 2023 season the weekend of September 1-2 at Kerr Stadium.
