The Lead: Roanoke Women's Swimming won eight of eleven events in a dual meet with Hollins Saturday afternoon in Salem.

Highlights:

• The Maroons swept both relay events kicking off the day with a first-place finish from Reilly Bird, Sarah Virginia Scott, Tessa Kenney and Francisca Cifuentes in the 400 Medley Relay. RC went on to close the day with a first-place relay finish in the 400 freestyle relay with Bird, Margaret Riggan, Cifuentes and Hannah Sells.
• Sells won the 1650 freestyle with a time of 20:01.32 before clocking a 6:10.50 in the 500 freestyle to take the top spot.
• Bird followed suit with first in the 50 freestyle (25.66) and the 100 freestyle (58.86).
• Cifuentes clocked a 1:08.15 in the 100 backstroke while Scott touched the wall at 2:30.33 in the 200 IM to round out the first place finishes on the day. 

Up Next: Roanoke faces Hollins, Greensboro and Guilford in a conference meet on Jan. 20 at Hollins.
