Salem, Va. – Roanoke College's Reilly Bird capped her season off at the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on Friday.

Bird, who is the first Roanoke NCAA Qualifier in school history, swam a 57.15 in the preliminaries, placing her 27^th overall in the field of 41 participants.

Bird is the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champion in the 100 backstroke, posting a first-place finals time of 56.18 at the Championships Feb. 15-17 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Her NCAA seeding time of 55.93 came in the 100 backstroke prelims at the ODAC Championships. She eclipsed the NCAA B-Cut time (57.00) in both her prelim and final performances.
