The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's swim team opened up its 2022-23 season at the 2022 ODAC Relays finishing third with 298 points among the eight ODAC schools. The event features relays that teams do not compete in the rest of the season, including several with just three swimmers for each team. Washington and Lee won the ODAC Relays with 461 points with Lynchburg taking second with 307 points.

TOP FINISHES

  • The Maroons opened up finishing 5th in the 100 Yard Free Relay with the team of Paige Shaika, Kate Pearson, Ariana Guillory, and Olivia Grabman touching the wall in 48.08.
  • In the 3x50 Yard Back Relay, Julianna Morrow, Lily Mullens, and Bailey Gallagher finished 2nd in 1:22.18.
  • Carter Satterfield, Pearson, and Halle Schart finished 4th in the 150 Yard Breast Relay in a time of 1:36.76
  • In the 400 Yard Free Relay, Mullens, Schart, Morrow, and Susanna Price finished runner-up in a time of 3:41.00.
  • Schart, Pearson, and Gallagher finished 3rd in the 3x100 Yard IM Relay with a time of 3:10.37.
  • Two Maroons teams finished in the top five of the 500 Yard FR (50-100-150-200) Relay. Mullens, Morrow, Satterfield, and Price finished 2nd in a time of 4:49.74 while Faeryn Lee, Grabman, Quinn Haley, and Katie Blankinship finished 5th in a time of 5:02.
  • The Roanoke team of Mullens, Satterfield, Blankinship, and Morrow finished 5th in a time of 1:55.56.
  • Gallagher, Pearson, Grabman, and Schart finished 2nd in the 100 Yard UW Dolphin Kick Relay in a time of 52.92.
  • In the final event of the day, the 200 Yard Free Relay, the team of Mullens, Pearson, Guillory, and Morrow finished third with a time of 1:42.36.

  • The Maroons are back on the road next Saturday, October 15 when they visit Bridgewater for a dual meet with the men's teams. The first event with the Eagles is scheduled for 1 p.m.
