The Lead: Roanoke earned seven top-ten finishes at the Virginia Tech Challenge Friday and Saturday in Blacksburg, Va.

Highlights:

• Kerri Dalton took fifth in the 3000M finals with a time of 10:38.77 followed by Claire Brooks in seventh with a 10:51.87.
• Cameron Thompson clocked 22.76 in the 200 M finals good enough for sixth place followed by a seventh-place finish in the 60M finals with a time of 7.21.
• Brynn MacDougall finished eighth in the 400M with a time of 59.88.
• Kaleb Bland earned a eighth-place finish in the men's shot put finals with a score of 12.76M.
• David Flowers closed out RC's top-ten finishes with a score of 13.03M in the men's weight throw finals, taking eighth.
