Meet: W&L Track & Field Carnival
Location: Washington and Lee | Lexington, Va.
The Lead: Kerri Dalton, Claire Brooks and Paige Olausen recorded first place finishes as the Maroons kicked off the outdoor season at W&L Friday and Saturday.
Highlights:
- Kerri Dalton finished first in the 10,000M with a time of 38:18.52 and Ellen Bauer clocked a 41:07.04 for fifth place.
- Claire Brooks took first place in the 3000M steeplechase with a time of 11:51.71, Caity Ashley followed with a time of 12:18.12 in fourth and Abigail Supplee clocked a 13:13.31 for eighth.
- Paige Olausen finished atop the leaderboard in the javelin with a mark of 38.13M and Lexi Denning took seventh with a score of 30.53M
- Brittany Mallette finished 10th in the 400M hurdles with a time of 1:17.59 and Allyson Wallace finished 12th in 1:30.28.
- Lindsey Baxter earned fifth place in the pole vault with a score of 2.89M, Elleri Vitwar tied for seventh with 2.74M and Anna Holley finished ninth with a mark of 2.44M.
- Jayna Jean-Jules finished 14th in the discus with a score of 27.08M and fifth in the hammer throw with a score of 37.11M. Grace Carll marked a 29.04M in the hammer for 12th place.
- Kevin Waterman took sixth-place in the 800M with a time of 1:56.77.
- John Wiggins clocked a 33:00.79 in the 10000M for a fourth place finish followed by Howard Daniels in fifth with a time of 33:16.25. Colin Brennan took 11th crossing the finish line in 34:38.03.
- William Pankey finished 14th in the 400M hurdles with a time of 1:03.08. Ryan Wilson finished 14th in the 3000M steeplechase with a time of 11:23.31.
- Kaleb Bland recorded a mark of 12.42M in the shot put for 12th place and Kyle Bland recorded a 35.21M toss in the discus for eighth place. David Flowers finished eighth in the hammer with a score of 39.03M
