Three Maroons Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

Salem, Va. – Three Roanoke College Women's Track & Field standouts have been named to the he U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South / Southeast All-Region announced by the organization earlier this week.

Kerri Dalton was named all-region in both the 5,000m and the 10,000m, Mara Briggs earned all-region honors in the high jump, while Paige Olausen was honored in the javelin.

Dalton's 5,000m time of 17:46.08 at the Liberty Twilight Meet on May 3 was the fifth fastest time in the region this season and was the top mark of her career. She was the ODAC Champion in the 10,000m and her time of 37:12.17 at the Dr. Keeper Invite hosted by North Central. was the best time in the region and the second best in Roanoke history.

Briggs was the ODAC Champion in the high jump. During that meet, she posted a 5' 4.25" / 1.63m jump to take the title and it proved to be the fourth best mark in the region this season.

Olausen owns the fourth best throw in the region this season in the javelin. Her throw of 131' 2" / 39.97m at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting also broke the Roanoke College record.
