On the opening day of the 2021 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Hannah Koepfinger represented Roanoke College in the preliminary heats of the 400m Hurdles in Greensboro, N.C.

The junior was entered into the second of three heats looking to earn a berth in the Finals that are scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The 19 athlete field was broken into three heats with the top two in each heat as well as the next two times over all heats to form the eight athlete field for the Finals. Koepfinger watched the opening heat in advance of taking the starting blocks in heat number two with six other athletes from around the country.

Koepfinger posted a time of 1:04.15, to place fifth in the heat, just .01 of a second from a top four finish.
