Bingham Added to Track & Field Staff

SALEM, Va. -- Roanoke College track & field head coach Eugene Galloway has announced the hiring of Erin Bingham as an assistant track & field coach.

"We welcome Erin to the Maroon family!" said Galloway. "Erin is detail-oriented and has championship experience that compliments our staff and program's goal of post season championship success."

Bingham graduated from Lees McRae College in 2017 with a degree in education. She competed in track all four years of school and was a three-time 60mh and 100mh Conference Carolina Champion. Bingham still holds multiple school records in the 55MH, 60MH, and 100MH.

While competing she was able to make some great connections with coaches and mentors as she volunteered assisting high school track and field athletes. During this time, Bingham became educated in age and ability appropriate conditioning for student athletes as well coaching techniques behind events including jumps and sprints.

After graduating college she went on to teach Elementary school, coach middle school, and high school track athletes.

Excited to be a part of the Roanoke College Track and Field team, Bingham plans to continue her coaching education and help each athlete fulfill their potential on the track.
