Event: 2023 Finn Pincus Invitational

The Lead: The Roanoke College women's indoor track & field team hosted its first meet in 2023 with the Finn Pincus Invitational. Over 800 athletes came to the Cregger Field House over the weekend for the two-day event.

Women's Highlights:

• In the 60m hurdles, Hannah Snodgrass made it through prelims and finished fourth in the finals with a time of 9.16.
• Mikayla Hefferon (5^th) and Eleanor Hinckley (8^th) were top-10 finishers in the 200m with times of 26.66 and 26.82, respectively.
• Haylee Gamble finished third in the 400m with a time of 1:00.48 with teammate Maryrose Molina-Shuman finishing eighth with a time of 1:02.42.
• The 500m also saw two Maroons with top-10 finishes as Lauren Henson (1:26.91) and Ophelia Ladner (1:31.63) finished fifth and eighth, respectively.
• Zoe Dunlap was seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:28.17.
• In the 3000m, Savannah Reid finished ninth with a tie of 13:02.29 and Sarah Kochanski was 10^th with a time of 13:03.93.
• Three Maroons finished in the top 10 in the high jump as Kim Roden (4^th), Cammi Winston (6^th), and Kaitlyn Nguyen (7^th) all made the jump of 1.53m.
• Tasha Miller was fifth in the pole vault with a height of 2.90m as teammate Claire Kinney was eighth with a height of 2.75m.
• In the shot put, Abigail McGlothin (seventh – 11.24m) and Kinney (ninth – 10.96m) both finished in the top 10.
• Grace Fowler (4^th) and Elisabeth Cullen (7^th) were top finishers in the weight throw with distances of 14.37m and 13.75m, respectively.
• A pair of relay teams took part in the 4000m distance medley. The team of Ashley Brown, Dunlap, Abby Casen, and Lauren Brown finished fourth (15:00.19) while the team of Madeleine Rhyne, Hailey Draper, Reid, and Kochanski finished fifth (15:24.27).
• The 4x400m relay team of Lauren Henson, Haylee Gamble, Molina-Shuman, and Hefferon finished runner-up with a time of 4:11.22.

Up Next: Roanoke will hit the road for the first time this season when they travel to the Steamer Showcase at Wittenberg in Ohio on Saturday, January 28.
