The Basics
Event: ODAC Indoor Championships
Location: Salem, VA | Cregger Fieldhouse
The Lead: Grace Fowler won the shot put and the Roanoke College women had runner-up finishes in four events as the Maroons came in third overall at the conference indoor meet at Cregger Fieldhouse.
Women's Highlights:
- Lynchburg claimed the team title with 181 points, followed by Washington and Lee (130) and the Maroons (106.5). Bridgewater finished fourth with 54 points.
- Fowler took first place in the shot put with a distance of 12.36m. She also finished third in the weight throw with a mark of 15.25m.
- In the 400m, Mikayla Hefferon came in second with a time of 1:00.09. Haylee Gamble placed fifth at 1:00.40.
- Chloe Van Duyne was the runner-up in the pole vault at 3.40m. Tasha Miller finished fifth (3.05m), and Claire Kinney came in sixth (2.90m).
- Hannah Snodgrass produced a second-place showing in the 60m hurdles at 9.02 seconds. Cammi Winston placed seventh in 9.93 seconds.
- The 4x400 relay team of Lauren Henson, Haylee Gamble, Maryrose Molina-Shuman, and Mikayla Hefferon also came in second with a time of 4:06.55.
- Zoe Dunlap was the third-place finisher in the 800m at 2:23.04.
- Gamble was third in the 200m at 26.08 seconds. Hefferon placed seventh (26.80), and Taylor Poole took eighth (26.85).
- The Maroons took four of the eight scoring spots in the high jump. Winston finished fourth with a jump of 1.61m, while Kaitlyn Nguyen came in fifth (1.58m), Eleanor Hinckley was sixth (1.55m), and Kim Rodan tied for seventh (1.50m).
- In addition to Fowler's third-place performance in the weight throw, Elisabeth Cullen finished fifth at 13.05m, and Sarah Fuchs came in sixth at 12.81m.
- The distance medley relay team of Lauren Brown, Henson, Hailey Draper, and Sarah Kochanski placed sixth in a time of 14:32.49.
- In the 60m, Kenna Fox was sixth at 8.04 seconds, and Poole crossed the tape seventh at 8.06.
- Kinney scored in the shot put with a seventh-place showing at 11.18m.
- Winston placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.49m.
