The Lead: Mikayla Hefferon placed first in the 400m dash and the Maroons notched 11 Top 5 finishes at the University of Lynchburg's Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic.

Meet Highlights:

  • Hefferon won the 400m with a time of 57.23 seconds, which leads the ODAC and ranks eighth in Division III this spring. Haylee Gamble placed sixth in 58.95 seconds.
  • Abbey Gajtkowski's mark of 43.92m landed her in third place in the hammer throw.
  • The 4x100 relay team of Lindsey Hobin, Taylor Poole, Hannah Snodgrass, and Hefferon finished third in 48.33 seconds, the second-best mark in the conference on the year.
  • Kaitlyn Nguyen finished third in the high jump with a height of 1.55m. Kim Roden came in fifth in the event.
  • In the pole vault, Chloe Van Duyne placed third at 3.20m. Claire Kinney (3.05m) notched a fifth-place performance, and Tasha Miller (2.90m) tied for sixth.
  • Maryrose Molina-Shuman came in third in the long jump with a mark of 5.01m. Hobin placed sixth with a jump of 4.87m.
  • Grace Fowler produced a fourth-place showing in the shot put with a mark of 11.77m.
  • Snodgrass finished fifth in the 100m hurdles, completing the race in 15.15 seconds.
  • Gamble logged a fifth-place run in the 200m with a time of 25.37 seconds, followed closely behind by Hefferon in sixth at 25.54.
