Volleyball Ranked Nationally in Two Catergories

Salem, VA --- The Roanoke College volleyball team is ranked once again in the NCAA Division III rankings released this afternoon. The Maroons are ranked 19th in win percentage (.857) and 45th in assists per set (11 apg). The women continue their record-breaking season with a record of 19-3 overall and a 5-3 mark in the conference.

Senior Marcy Conner has been a strong presence at the net with 169 kills and 50 blocks this season. Conner continues to move up in the record books as she ranks seventh in career kills (614), eighth in attacks (1638), sixth in blocks (217), fifth in block assists (116) and seventh in block solos (103). Maggie Wagner and Kelsey Largen both lead the Maroons in offense with 227 and 226 kills apiece.

Due to a season-ending injury to freshman setter Kate Feldman, Caitlyn Long moved from libero to setter to keep the Maroons in the rankings in the assists per set standing. Prior to her injury, Feldman tallied 513 assists to place her 10th in career assists. Long has since tallied 269 assists this season and has 469 assists for her career.

Roanoke will host Lynchburg College in ODAC action tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. The Maroons look for redemption after losing to the Hornets in the quarter-final contest in last year's ODAC tournament.
