SALEM - The Roanoke College volleyball team battled out of a deficit to defeat Southern Virginia 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-20, 25-23) on Friday. The Maroons improve their record to 10-8, while the Knights are now 2-7.

Allison White led the Maroons in kills with 11, while Mackenzie Allen, Mackenzie Tyree and Shannon Stone tallied six kills each. Stone and Alexandra Martin dished out 20 assists a piece. Three Maroons hit the double digits in digs: Mackenzie Tyree (16), Macey Tyree (13) and Stone (11). The Maroons held a large edge in service aces 14-6, with Macey Tyree tallying five and Allison White and Martin with four each.

Southern Virginia's Katelynn Tlustek topped all players in assists as she put up 47 during the match. Four Knights had double digits in digs with Larissa Conger leading with 16, tying Roanoke's Tyree. Tori Tuttle led all players in kills with 14 to her credit.

The Maroons return to action on Wednesday, October 3^rd as they play host to Hollins University in the C. Homer Bast Gymnasium. The ODAC matchup starts at 7:00 PM.
