BUENA VISTA � The Roanoke College volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at Southern Virginia University.� The Maroons now have a record of 17-10.

With today's win in the first match against Penn State � Harrisburg (25-12; 27-25; 25-12), the Roanoke volleyball team captured its 17^th win, besting their win total from the 2012 season.� Samantha Klostermann led the team in kills with 13, followed by Allison White with six.� Jessica Block led all players in the contest with 15 assists, while Alexandra Martin tallied 14 on the afternoon.� Mackenzie Tyree and Martin each finished the contest with 10 digs, while Macey Tyree tallied nine.� Klostermann and Martin also finished with a team high two service aces.

In the second match, Roanoke battled home team Southern Virginia University to a tough 3-2 decision (23-25, 25-20, 28-30, 28-26, 12-15).� Mackenzie Tyree finished the long match with 24 digs.� Macey Tyree tallied 17 digs during the set as well.� Samantha Klostermann finished with 16 kills in the match, while Sarah Long put away 10.� Jessica Block dished out 20 assists, while Alexandra Martin was close behind with 18.� Macey Tyree led the team with three service aces.� Carrie Heldreth tallied eight total blocks during the game, while Sarah Long had four.

The Maroons return to action on Friday, November 1^st as they travel to Lynchburg to take on Randolph College.� That contest will be the Maroons ODAC regular season finale, and is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
