Klostermann and Tyree Named to 2013 All-ODAC Volleyball Teams
FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University senior outside hitter M.A. Boles was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year for the second time as part of the All-ODAC volleyball awards.  Generals' mentor Bryan Snyder was named the ODAC Coach of the Year, while Emory & Henry College outside hitter Tristen Pennington earned ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades.  Virginia Wesleyan College senior Tempe Martens was selected as the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the league's sports information directors.
 
Two Maroons were named to the 2013 All-ODAC Team in seniors Samantha Klostermann and Mackenzie Tyree.  Klostermann was named Second Team All-ODAC, while Tyree was named to the Third Team.
 
Mackenzie Tyree, a senior from Daleville, VA, finished the season with 397 digs, which ranks seventh all-time at Roanoke for digs in a single season.  She also has 879 digs over just her two-year career, which sits seventh all-time in a career for a Maroon.  Tyree's 397 digs ranked sixth in the ODAC, while her 4.41 digs per set ranks 4th in the conference.  She also finished the season with 39 assists and 13 service aces.  Tyree was named to the 2013 ODAC All-Tournament Team as well.
 
Samantha Klostermann, a senior from Roanoke, VA, tallied a four year total of 747 kills, which ranks seventh all-time at Roanoke.  Klostermann's 332 kills this season is the ninth highest all-time in single-season kills for a Maroon.  Here 2013 season kills tally also ranks fourth in the ODAC, just two behind third place, and ranks fifth in kills per set (3.10).  She ranked sixth in the conference in total attacks with 870.  Klostermann finished the season with 21 service aces, 255 digs and 32 total blocks.
