The Lead: Roanoke topped Lynchburg 3-2 in an ODAC Volleyball thriller Saturday afternoon in Salem.
 
How it Happened

• After the two teams split the first four games, RC jumped out to a 9-0 lead in game five.
• A Sydney Daniel kill would push the Maroon lead to 11-2.  LC responded when a Maral Tsolmon kill sparked a 9-0 LC run to tie the game up.
• With Roanoke up 14-13, LC got back-to-back points to earn a match-point at 15-14, but back-to-back kills by Daniel put RC up 16-15.
• LC would tie the game at 16 all, before Shelby Frost recorded a pair of kills to close out the match for RC.
• Blackmore had 15 kills to go along with 21 digs, while Daniel had 14 kills and Frost finished with 10. Jessica Block had 42 assists. 
• Alexandra Martin and Olivia Earls had 21 and 14 digs, respectively for RC in the win.

Up Next: Roanoke will be off until October 26 when it travels across town to Hollins for a 6:30 p.m. match.
