The Lead: Roanoke scored a 3-1 ODAC victory over Randolph behind a career-high 19 kills from Kylah Blackmore.

How it Happened:

  • In addition to Blackmore, Logan Graves had 13 kills, Alex Wolfe had eight kills, Grace Parrish had five, while Jesssica Block dished out 39 assists in the win. Block also had 17 digs, one ace and one kill.
  • Ryan Hedgepeth led RC with 19 digs on the day. Blackmore and Christen Zammit each had nine digs and Graves had a total of four blocks.
  • With the score tied at 21 in the first game, a pair of Randolph setting errors and an ace by Hedgepeth gave RC a 24-21 lead before Blackmore closed out the game with a kill.
  • The score was tied at 7-7 in game two before the Maroons went on a 12-1 run with a Graves kill putting RC up 19-8. Randolph cut it to 22-15, but a Goodman kill, an attacking error by the WildCats and a kill by Blackmore closed out the game.
  • After dropping game three, RC came out in game four and went up 14-2 early on. Randolph cut the deficit to 14-8 before Roanoke won seven of the next eight points to go up 21-9.
