The Lead: Sydney Daniel had nine kills for Maroons as Roanoke topped Hollins 3-0 on Tuesday night in Salem.

How it Happened

• Alex Wolfe had eight kills and Logan Graves had seven for the Maroons. Grace Parrish and Kylah Blackmore each had six kills in the win as well.
• Jessica Block had 27 assists, while Christen Zammit had 11 helpers of her own. Blackmore had 10 digs, while Block had seven stops of her own on the defensive side of the net.
• The Maroons hit .406 in game one, recording 17 kills on 32 attempts in the 25-14 win. With score 11-9, RC scored the next four points, going up 15-9 on a Logan Graves kill.
• RC jumped out to a 6-1 lead in game two following a kill by Blackmore. With the score 14-9, Roanoke reeled off six straight points to take a commanding 20-9 lead.
• With the score 18-14 Maroons in game three, RC recorded six of the final 10 points of the match, capped by a Zammit ace to seal the win.
