Engel has served the youth of his community and the Commonwealth of Virginia as a coach, an official, and an administrator.
Coached men’s high school and boy’s club lacrosse, women’s high school field hockey, and state championship track and soccer teams. Earned recognition as an official of lacrosse, and soccer because of his interest and professional competence.
Official scorer for the University of Virginia basketball team. Member of the Official’s Association in several sports and have organized and administered successful tournaments.
