Paz named to VaSID All-State Second-Team

Lindsay Paz, a senior goalie on the field hockey team, was voted to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Field Hockey College Division All-State Second-Team announced on Thursday afternoon.

Paz, a four-year starter for the Maroons, finished her senior year breaking her own single-season school-record in saves with 185. She would have three games with over 20 saves, including a season-high 27 saves vs. Randolph-Macon in her final game of the regular season. The team captain would earn a shutout vs. Shenandoah (10/9) and an .888 saves percentage.

The Mt. Lakes, NJ native was named All-ODAC First-Team for the second-straight season last month, the first player to do so since Jodi Godbout in 2000-01. She finished her career at Roanoke as the school's all-time saves leader (707).
