Goalie Schicilone Ranked Nationally

Salem, VA --- The Roanoke College field hockey team is ranked 39th in the NCAA Division III rankings for the fourth-straight week in saves per game.   The women are 3-13 overall and 2-5 in the ODAC. 

Cristina Scichilone has an average of 7.64 saves per game to be an effective defender between the pipes.  She stands 44st in the national rankings. Scichilone is also fourth in the ODAC in saves (107) and saves per game.

The Maroons are led offensively by Mariah Vietri and Emily Huston.  Vietri has scored six goals, two assists and 14 points this season. Huston has scored five goals and tallied 15 points. Both women scored and tallied assists in the win over ODAC rival Bridgewater College on Oct. 17 in addition to one assist apiece in the win over Sweet Briar on Oct. 22.
 
The women will travel to Lynchburg on Nov. 1 to face the Hornets of Lynchburg College for the quarterfinal round of the ODAC Tournament. The Maroons fell to Lynchburg 0-6 in the last regular season contest.
