Roanoke Field Hockey Ranked Nationally

Salem, VA --- The Roanoke College field hockey team is ranked 40th in the NCAA Division III poll out of 50 ranked teams in saves per game. The women are 1-11 overall and 0-4 in the ODAC. Cristina Scichilone is ranked nationally for the second week in a row. 

Roanoke posts an average of 8.42 saves per game to earn them the 40th spot in the poll. Scichilone continues to boost the Maroons between the pipes with an average of eight saves per game. This ranks her 38th out of 50 players ranked. She has posted 80 saves thus far this season and has an average of 2.87 saves per game.
 
The Maroons are also led by junior Mariah Vietri who has tallied four goals and eight points on the season. Emily Huston has also posted eight points and three goals in addition to two assists. 
 
The women travel to Bridgewater, VA on Friday to face the Eagles in ODAC competition. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
