Field Hockey Goalie Ranked Nationally

Salem, VA ---   Freshman Cristina Scichilone is ranked 34th nationally in saves per game with an average of 8.5.  She has tallied 68 saves and has a .747 save percentage this fall. Scichilone's effort has boosted the women to 37th out of 50 ranked teams in saves per game in the NCAA Division III poll. 

The Roanoke College field hockey team although 1-9 on the season scored the most goals since 2004 in the 8-0 win over Shenandoah on Sept. 13.
 
Roanoke is also led by senior Emily Huston and junior Mariah Vietri. Both have scored three goals. Huston has also compiled two assists, eight points, and one game winner.  Vietri posted six points and has 11 shots on goal so far this season.
 
The Maroons are back in action tomorrow as they host ODAC rival Washington & Lee. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
