Field Hockey falls to Randolph-Macon in ODAC Quarterfinals

Ashland, VA – The field hockey team fell to Randoplh-Macon, 4-2 in the ODAC Quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon. The loss ends the Maroons season with a 3-11 record. The Yellow Jackets, who improve to 7-10 overall and will advance to the ODAC semifinals.
 
The Yellow Jackets would score the first three goals before the Maroons would get their first of the game. Heather Paul would get the Maroons on the board off an assists from Liz Hudson to cut the lead to two, 3-1.
 
After a RMC goal, Hudson would score the last goal of the game unassisted to make it 4-2 to end the scoring.
 
Lindsey Paz had 21 saves in her final game as a Maroon. With the 21 saves, Paz breaks her own single-season saves record (185).  Paz wraps up her career as the school's all-time leader in career saves (707).
 
It was the final game for the careers of Hudson, Paz, Juliet Leonard, Sam Beard, Jenna Lacoste, Leeanne Clark, Lindy Stetson and Kelly Miller. Hudson finished her career as the program's fourth leading scorer (91pts) and third in goals (38).  Clark finished eighth all-time in points (74) and goals with 33.
