Maroons Picked Seventh in ODAC Field Hockey Preseason Poll
FOREST, Va. --- Roanoke was picked seventh in the 2010 ODAC Field Hockey Pre-Season Poll announced Friday afternoon. The Maroons received 20 votes in the annual survey, while defending conference champion Lynchburg topped the poll with 61 votes.  

New head coach Briana Banks takes over the reins of the Roanoke (2-14, 2-5) field hockey program.  Back for the Maroons is first-team All-ODAC goalkeeper Cristina Schicilone (South Yarmouth, MA, Nauset Regional)(134 saves – 3rd in ODAC) and second-team All-ODAC defender Lee Sheldon (Darien, CT, Darien).  Top scorers Jessica Perkins (Abington, PA, Abington)(HM All-ODAC, 5g) and Helen Pearsall (Chicago, IL, Berkshire School)(4g, 2a) will lead the offense.
