Four Maroons named to 2012 All-ODAC Field Hockey Teams
FOREST, Va. --- Lynchburg College midfielder Shelly Milks took home a pair of major honors as part of the 2012 ODAC Field Hockey awards.  The Hornets' senior won ODAC Player of the Year distinction for the third straight season, and was tabbed the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete for the second year in a row.  Shenandoah University's Kim Iman-Bianchi was named the ODAC Coach of the Year, while SU freshman Alexandra Darrow was selected as the ODAC Rookie of the Year.

Four Maroons were named to All-ODAC teams at the end of the 2012 season.  Junior Kelly Finn and sophomore Darian Shuker were named to second team All-ODAC honors.  Sophomore Stacey Bechtel and senior Julienne Brown earned third team All-ODAC accolades.

Kelly Finn, a native of Fairhaven, NJ picked up second team All-ODAC honors this season.  She started and played in all 17 games for the Maroons in 2012.  Finn scored five goals which led the Maroons in scoring for the season.  She was also second on the squad in points with 10. She tallied two game winners, one against Sewanee, while the other was against Eastern Mennonite. Finn earned the ODAC/StellarOne Sportsmanship award in 2011.

Darian Shuker, from Reading, PA, also earned a second team All-ODAC nod.  Shuker played and started in 17 games for the Maroons in 2012.  She tallied 1029 minutes in front of the cage and tallied 121 saves.  Shuker put together a save percentage of .739.  She had one shutout during the season, as the Maroons defeated Eastern Mennonite, 1-0.

Senior Julienne Brown picked up All-ODAC honors for the first time in her career.  She started and played in all 17 games for the Maroons.  Brown tallied two goals and one assist off 10 shots in 2012.  She finished the season with six shots on goal.

Stacey Bechtel took All-ODAC third team honors in 2012.  She was big part of the Roanoke defense this season, starting and playing in all 17 games.  Bechtel led the team in defensive saves, tallying two, one against Mary Washington and the other against Randolph-Macon.
