Thirteen Roanoke College field hockey players were named to the 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Collegiate Academic Squad, announced this week.

Field hockey student-athletes are named to the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Squad by acheiving a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher during the first semster of the 2013-14 academic school year. 88 student-athletes earned this honor from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. With 13 members, Roanoke had the third highest number of players of any schools in the ODAC to earn the award.

Roanoke also had three student-athletes who were named 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Collegiate Scholars of Distinction. These student-athletes earned this honor by achieving a GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Lauren Hurley, Emily McQueen and Kelly Wood garnered the "Scholars of Distinction" honor for 2013.

Fleur Moorlag - Fr. - Netherlands
Kelly Wood - Fr. - Mirror Lake, NH
