Field Hockey Drops Non-Conference Game to #16 Mary Washington
FREDERICKSBURG - The Roanoke College field hockey fell to #16 ranked Mary Washington 12-0 in non-conference action. The Maroons are now 0-2 on the season, while the Eagles are 3-1 after four games.

The nationally ranked Eagles scored seven goals in the first half, led by Haley Kane with two goals. She also had two assists in the first half as well. Kane followed in the second half with one goal and one more assist for a total of six points on the afternoon. Christine Loehr had a hat trick of her own in the second half, scoring the first and final two goals of the frame.

The Maroons were held to two shots, one in each half of the contest. Roanoke's shots were taken by Emily McQueen and Shelbi Holloman. Candice Fisher and Emma Graybill each played 30 minutes apiece in the cage. Fisher led the Maroons with 10 saves, while Graybill stopped six. Ashleigh Hamman had five saves in nine minutes of play.

The Eagles were led in shots by Christine Loehr, who took ten shots, eight of which were on goal. She was followed by Haley Kane, who took six shots on the day.

The Maroons return to action on Saturday, September 13th as they travel to take on Hood College. That game is scheduled for a 4:00 PM start.
