Holloman, Jasinski & Schauder Named to VaSID All-State Field Hockey Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – On the heels of its most successful season in over a decade, the Roanoke College Field Hockey team placed three players on the 2015 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Team.

Shelbi Holloman was a first-team choice, while Kellie Jasinski and Heather Schauderwere second-team selections.

The first NFHCA All-Region selection for RC since 2003, Holloman earned First-Team All-ODAC accolades for the second straight season and her third all-conference honor of her career. Holloman finished the season tied for second in the league with 15 goals and tied for fourth with seven assists. Holloman's 37 points was third-best in the league while she took an ODAC best 116 shots on the year.

Schauder made an immediate impact during her first season in Salem earning first-team all-league accolades. The goalkeeper posted a 1.38 goals-against average which was second best in the ODAC. Her 102 saves on the season was fifth most in the league and she surrendered just 21 goals in 16 games.

Jasinski anchored an RC defense that allowed just 1.27 goals per game this season which ranked second in the ODAC. Jasinski also notched a pair of goals on the season and made two defensive saves for the Maroons. For her efforts, she was named First-Team All-ODAC.
