How it Happened:
  • Sarah Brock got SU on the board just 6:30 into the game when she collected a rebound of her own shot and scored to make it 1-0.
  • RC got the equalizer in the 32nd minute when Shelbi Holloman was able to send a long crossing pass into the box which Emily McQueen one-timed past the SU keeper to tie it at 1-1.
  • The Maroons would take the lead 2:09 into the second-half when Holloman again dished a crossing pass that found the stick of Megan Diehl who used a one timer to beat Jessica Brown.
  • The scored stayed that way until 24 seconds left in regulation when Pardo was able to collect a deflected pass and push the ball past an RC defender to score and tie the game.
  • Pardo's game-winner came 2:39 into the extra frame when she broke in on RC keeper Heather Schauder, had her initial shot saved but was able to put back her own rebound.
