Roanoke Field Hockey Tabbed Sixth in ODAC Preseason Poll
SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College Filed Hockey team has been tabbed to finish sixth in the 2015 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll released by the league on Wednesday.

RC, which last season recorded its highest win total since 2004, received 20 points from the league's head coaches to take the sixth spot.

Back in the mix for head coach Briana Banks is Shelbi Holloman who earned First Team All-ODAC honors in 2014. Holloman finished the season with 14 goals, which ranked fourth among all players in the ODAC. She ranked eighth in the conference with her 28 points and was seventh in total shots (61).

Second Team All-ODAC choice from a season ago Kellie Jasinski returns for her junior season after dishing out five assists which ranked ninth in the ODAC.

Nine-time defending conference champion Lynchburg College collected four first place votes and 46 total points to lead the polls. The top three teams are separated by just eight total points, with Bridgewater College sitting second after earning three top nods and 42 tallies. Shenandoah University garnered 38 points including the remaining first place vote.

The Maroons open their 2015 on September 1 when they host the Panthers of Ferrum College at 4:30 p.m. at Donald J. Kerr Stadium.
