The Lead: Roanoke scored three goals in a seven minute span during the second-half en route to a 3-0 win over Wesley on Saturday.
How it Happened:
- The game was scoreless through the entire first-half with Wesley holding a slim 6-5 edge in shots after the first 35 minutes.
- Shelbi Holloman broke the deadlock at the 49:45 mark when she tallied an unassisted strike.
- Rebecca Schmidt doubled the RC lead with a goal just over five and a half minutes later before Emily McQueen made it 3-0 at the 56:59 mark.
- RC outshot Wesley 20-4 in the decisive second-half and held a 13-5 edge in penalty corners for the game.
- Heather Schauder made six saves to pick up win in the cage for RC, including four in the first-half.
